Subject Description: Low flat landscape with a lake in middle distance and foreground. Two tall trees frame outlet right and left. Lower trees at right and left edges of painting. Wooded hills in the far distance, sky filled with broken clouds.
Condition: Generally good.
Infra-red: Sharpens the tonal contrast in the composition and particularly with brushwork in the sky.
UltraViolet: Reveals scattered areas of retouch, particularly in the edges of the tree at left center and other areas at the lower right.
Color: 
X-ray: Thin liquid application of ground coat conforming specifically to the pattern of trees and sky.
