Subject Description: A farmhouse with its outbuildings, framed by two tall trees at right and left. Dark foliage at left, open fields and distant house or barn at right. Woman stands at house door.
Condition: Unlined linen canvas, slack and drawn, some evidence of the discoloration of original glazes or varnish. A separation of varnish and paint film at right edge indicates original tonal character may have been lighter.
Infra-red: Sharpens drawing of two principal trees and details of cart, ladder, etc., at left.
UltraViolet: Some retouched areas in sky.
