Additional Examination Notes: The Middletown Landscape (titled by Norman A. Geske) is of particular interest, unusual in being an oil on canvas, whereas most of the works from Middletown are on various kinds of paper board, etc. It does show the bright palette and the peculiarly flat landscape of that period.
