Subject Description: Open flat ground covered with snow, framed with dark foliage at middle distance. Ten bare trees spaced through the middle ground and foreground.
Condition: Generally good. Painted on a cigar box top.
Infra-red: Reveals persistence of wood grain across center of painting.
UltraViolet: Reveals considerable losses throughout painting, large area patches in upper left and lower right sky.
Color: White, blue sky, brown.
X-ray: Heavy ground under ground plane and sky, sgraffito details, wood grain.
