Additional Examination Notes: Inpainting was done using the early photograph as a guide. Maimeri Restauro paints were used, using turpentine as the thinner. Some Soluvar varnish was used with the inpainting to insure future ease of removal and to obtain the glazed appearance of the remainder of the painting. The lower part of the dress was not made to look like it did in the photograph because it seemed likely that the photograph showed excessively dark retouchings in that area from the early restoration that included glue lining. The inpainting should remain soluble in naphtha in the future.
