Subject Description: Wooded landscape, with stream flowing out of middle distance to lower right foreground. Figure of fisherman attaching bait to a line, stands at center left.
Condition: Recently relined (glue lining), parts of trees seem to be scratched into pigment, brush texture in sky is quite pronounced with edges of foliage glazed over, some of the impasto appears to have been sanded down.
Infra-red: Clarifies structure of the tree under which the figure stands, also the signature, also tree at right.
UltraViolet: Nothing of significance.
Color: Figure, stream and sky a deep gold, the surroundings of a right blackish-brown.
X-ray: Thin irregular ground, concentrated in upper sky and lower right.
