Subject Description: Unusual vertical format, horizon at bottom third of panel, foreground filled with a narrow diagonal of ground at lower right. A stream or pool of water, a high bank at left topped by a tall tree almost the full height of the panel, middle distance shows a small house surrounded by trees. A blue bird in flight at lower left.
Condition: Generally good. Some contraction crackle.
Infra-red: Sharpens character of brushwork.
UltraViolet: Nothing of significance.
Color: 
X-ray: Irregular but smoothly painted ground coat.
