Blakelock (underlining indicated uncertainty of transcription): "I am only 73 young 19 of April if I am insane I am not conscious of it I am not paranoic I am not in a period of senility nor aged dotage. For I can whistle and sing I am one of the many unfortunates in a long business career not even over induling in luxurious living and trying to comport myself the best I can until such changes come my way for the better I must and is shurley to come I sincerely believe and hope and trust that something will come my wa to release from this moral cesspool I want liberty and a little change and this I am looking up to through some friend that God may be pleased to send it would certainly be a Benediction of joy to walk on real earth again Who can devine thy messenger"
