Subject DescriptionTrees framing view, lake or river middle distance center, distant hills very vaguely defined. Sun at approximate center of canvas, vaguely seen in general golden tonality of sky.
ConditionSerious bitumen deterioration throughout dark areas, areas pigment at top simply opened up, lines of "slide" or run at lower left. Painting of foliage at lower right dissolved in sliding movements of pigment.
