Subject DescriptionForeground empty. Middle ground contains white barn at the center, with low shed with chimney extending from left to right center of the picture. Picket fence, smaller square shed, 2-wheeled cart and ladder are at the right. Three large rounded trees in the back of the scene, right, center and left. Clouded sky in upper right and center of the picture. Details of the buildings, fence, etc., drawn in. Irregular spots and strokes of pigment indicate low foliage in foreground. Background trees are built up of very small pointed strokes. Suggestion of blue sky, toned by glaze.
