Subject DescriptionA view of the sea. The mass water is flat and unbroken. Above the horizon at center, the sun sets a pattern of drifting clouds.
ConditionSee conservation report by R. D. Buck, February 1947. It was noted that the repaints have now lost their gloss (in depth and in file).

UltraVioletReveals the extent of the repairs and retouches.
ColorThe sun and its reflection on clouds and sea a brilliant yellow. The sky and water a steely gray-green.
X-rayThe under coat appears to match the design - water surface, sun and clouds.
