Subject Description: River landscape, seen from shore at lower left, where a row boat is grounded near a protruding stake. River surface falls foreground right and middle distance, massive flat topped hills over lap, right, left and center in distance. No visible signature.
Condition: Recently relined (glue) and over cleaned, possible signature AB at lower left. Some oil wrinkles at upper right.
Infra-red: Sharpens character of brushwork.
UltraViolet: Reveals some small losses in sky,
Color: Grayed browns and blues.
X-ray: Very thin ground coat sky area only.
